Do Spirits Cry?
I sat at my kitchen table one sunny morning a day or so ago, looking out the window into the snowy backyard. That window was new; a lovely and spaceous bay window David and I had installed the winter before he died. Looking through it is always bittersweet. Sweet memories, mixed with the sadness of loss.
Hedges surrounding our deck were laden with snow. There were no birds. A few icicles hung from the roof, but not many.
I have tulip bulbs sprouting in a glass dish on the window sill. The cat was curled up on a kitchen chair, lazing away in the warm February sunshine. It was unseasonably warm for this time of year and some of the snow was melting. I turned my face to the morning sun and began a conversation with David as I usually do.
Movement caught my eye on the window pane.
It was a lone drop of water, glistening in the sun. It sat there for a second or two, then slowly made its way down the glass, like a tear drop running down somebody's cheek.

Oh my what a beautiful moment for you. These times are so bittersweet but I am so thankful for them. I have had a few moments myself this past week. Just when I least expect it something (a memory, a site) brings a sudden swelling of emotion. I was born in Montreal many years ago. I now live in Vancouver, Washington USA. Be well . . . . Lindanne

Wendy,
yes, spirits do cry. They cry for us who mourn them so.

How lovely the way you see this, very touching.l would hate to think that Franks spirit was crying, but they also lost so much did,t they,so l should imagine at times they do get sad and cry for us.

That is so touching.........a way to let you know that the sadness is understood and shared.
I like to think that they are around trying to help us to help ourselves. Hugs!!!
I think they do watch over us and you know I also think they miss us too. No they don\'t suffer or know pain but they did love us. So why wouldn\'t they miss being here in some way. I think he was looking over you and missing you too.
hugs,
Cie
