Do I really have to defend myself and my beliefs?
First of all I want to wish all of my DS family a blessed Easter. The other day my uncle was telling about this adult video that he saw on the internet. I told him that I would probably not want to view something like that; that I was not interested in it. I told him that I want to keep myself pure and right with God. It seems like ever since I told him that he has gone out of his way to tell me how my feelings are wrong and are not valid. I mean is it so wrong to have so much faith and love God with all my heart and soul that I want to keep myself pure and moral? Or is it such a bad thing to decide that I don't like adult movies and I have no desire to view them?

Your uncle has NO RIGHT to tell you what you feel is wrong. It is your decision what you want to watch and the way you think. Keep your faith and tell him to mind his own life.
I agree with jeepgurl88. There are many times I won\'t watch anything with violen e or abuse, as it\'s all over the tv, because I don\'t need to see it, it\'s just such evil.
I gave my life to God years ago and there\'s nothing anyone could do to make me change my mind. If I were being pressured, I ask them to kindly get on with their own life and leave mine to me. Stick with God, He has way better things to offer.
Satan still troubles God\'s children today. The fact that your faith in God is being attacked, proves that you are on the right path! It is your uncle\'s choice to fill his life with junk, and your choice to fill your life with the living Word of God. I suggest that you rather get up and walk away when your uncle attacks your faith, because your ears are not garbage cans to catch up all the junk that he speaks. Stay strong, my dear friend! I\'ve had people question what I believe in too (like my mom, my dad, family members and other people) and it is really hard when people do that. I get a lot of anxiety thinking I need to believe what they believe and do what they think I should do because they said it no matter how dysfunctional and stupid it is and how it can hurt me I feel I am supposed to do what other people want me to do. I hope and pray that you will stay strong and not let your uncle persuade you into doing something you don\'t like or believe in or want to do. It is ok to do and think what you want to think and believe in, don\'t let anyone influence you and make you do what you think and want to do. Stay strong and do what you want to do.
I agree with all your friends here. You must follow YOUR path and what The Lord puts on your heart to be right or wrong.
