Do hearing aids help?
Has anyone noticed improvement with Tinnitus after getting a hearing aid? According to consumer reports.com, it doesn't do any good. But my ENT said it "should" bring the noise level down; and the audiologist said, "We have no way of knowing until you buy the hearing aid and try it." Any input?

Chris in the beginning of my T. I tried 2 hearing aids. The audiologist was really great. I was ok as long as it was she and I talking,but when my wife got into the conversation and another woman. Between all of them and the ringing it was just too much for me to handle. I would like to try hearing aids with white noise programed into them. But I have really been keeping up with Mandy and TRT, but I need to finish with my doc before I try something else. Now just because the hearing aids was not a good idea for me does not mean it would not work for you. I know enough to know we are all different with T.Most will let you try it first. Frank
Hello. I was fitted with in canal hearing aids 2 months ago. No it is not helping me. I have T and hyperacusis. always tired , with headache and ear fullness. Ah the despair, as well
