Do dee dooooo...
So, it's CD37 and there's no sign of AF. I don't even have the dry feeling I usually get or even a tiny bit of spotting. I couldn't help myself and did a preg test, it came back negative. I'm not discouraged though, I mean 1) I was not on the ball this month (too much going on) and didn't time things properly and 2) my hormones have always been on the low side. Even if AF does show, I know I've got another shot and July won't be as busy as this month has been.
Also, getting pregnant now puts some dampeners on my schooling, but I'm sure I can work something out with either my teachers or the school. At this point, I'd rather not wait until a more 'convenient' time to conceive. The school doesn't have to know that I am planning almost every step of getting pregnant, all they have to know is that I am and when I'm due, really.
The past few days I've been getting this strange feeling in my lower abdomen. It's around my appendectomy scar, and it feels like someone's grabbed hold of a tennis ball sized area around the scar and is squeezing. It's not painful or anything, but it's enough pressure for me to notice it. There's nothing similar on my left side, just on the right side around my scar. I'm not sure if it's just bloating/swelling tugging on the scar tissue or something else, but it feels strange and has my anxiety thinking the worst (like ectopic pregnancy in my only open tube or cancer). I keep talking myself down, saying it's just a bit of pressure, probably gas or bloating pulling/pushing on the scar tissue.
And last, but not least: therapy seems to be working in lifting my overall moods. I have been less sad these past two weeks and less anxious about things too. I am able to rationalize with myself better and bring myself out of the negative thought cycle on most things.
Normally my depression keeps me from doing things like opening the curtains or just going and enjoying the outdoors. Today, all of my curtains are open letting the sun shine in. And last night, instead of just sitting around inside all evening, I got out the frisbee and DH and I tossed it back and forth (he made me jump and run just a little to add to the exercise factor) for a good half hour or so. Next goal is to add swimming laps at least once a week in, the pool is frigidly cold at the moment, but it's supposed to warm up out there as we move into next week, so hopefully it will be less like jumping into ice water by the end of next week!

I\'m glad your moods are improving, that\'s such great news! And once AF does show, you can get excited because you\'ll be heading into a fresh cycle with a positive attitude and a better shot at your BFP!
As for the pressure you\'re describing...if it doesn\'t go away by the end of your next cycle you might want to ask for an ultrasound. Not that I\'m an expert on ovarian cysts or anything (HA!) but from what you\'re describing that could be exactly what\'s going on. For normal people though (aka for people who aren\'t me!) most cysts are functional and will resolve on their own...and they mean that your ovaries are working which is always a good thing! xoxo
Thanks Karen, I\'ll keep that in mind, and of course keep track of the pressure as well.
As for AF showing, I totally expect her to (though still hope she won\'t). And yeah, I will be excited to head into the next cycle with a more positive attitude. I\'m also making sure I track better this time, so I can make sure we get the timing right!
Dayum that AF - she\'s so unpredictable sometimes. I hope the squeezing sensation is nothing and that next month is a bit easier to plan/schedule. Yeah for the exercise and I\'m jealous about your chance to swim - I love to swim but don\'t have opportunity too. We have that 20 acre pond in our backyard but I\'m deathly afraid to swim in bodies of water where I can\'t see all the way through. And SO glad to hear that you are finding some benefit with the group therapy.
I\'m with you on the not swimming in bodies of water I can\'t see all the way through. I refuse to swim in anything other than a pool or clear fresh water lake. I won\'t have the pool to swim in after September, but I think I get a membership to the YMCA with my college tuition (not sure if they still do that or not), and the one near my current place has a lovely indoor pool that I can use year round. DH plans on getting a membership just so he can swim lol.
