Divorce?! So soon!?

So for anyone that was curious, I've been "away" for the past week because I met with my husband's therapist and he basically said that my husband's denial system around his codependency and love addiction is so strong there's nothing he can do, and that the best option is for my husband to go to inpatient treatment. There's a facility that caters specifically to Sex and Love addicts which he recommends. But my husband has to go willingly or he won't do the work sincerely and it'll just end up being a waste of time and money for him. He said that I had some power in this situation, in which if my husband were to understand that I would divorce him if he wasn't willing to go, he might actually take this seriously. It felt so sudden and shocking because we only started therapy last fall and learned about all this last winter. I mean I started therapy to AVOID divorce! But on the other hand I have been dealing with my husband's lying and manipulation for years. Things are not okay in his world (or mine it turns out) and honestly I've been dragging him around kicking and screaming through everything. It wasn't his idea to get engaged, nor did he help with the wedding. I thought because he designed the ring, that it was a sign he wanted all this. But perhaps the designing of the ring was an artistic challenge he was interested in. I wore so many hats in the relationship - mother, tutor, life coach, teacher, cop, parole officer, best friend, ...the list just goes on and on...I don't know if I ever wore the fiancé or wife hat. How sad is that? So as sudden as it was and considering I came from a position of "I'd never get a divorce.", in the last couple days I've realized (with lots of help) that my husband hasn't really been a willing participant in this marriage and I really would like an answer of whether he's serious or not. I'd really like that answer sooner rather than later. If he wasn't interested or serious about marriage I really would have preferred he didn't agree in the first place. And honestly I thought, oh he's just working through stuff, he'll come around....but that was magical thinking. This is life. If he's not in it now, when? I'm here now and have been here for the past six years, how long do I have to wait? And what's sad, I realized that I would wait forever, because that's what you're supposed to do, right? I would give up my whole life for this guy, I would go indebt, I would do all kinds of crazy things. And everyone around me was like "Wait, where are You in this? Why do you have to destroy your life to be with him?" It took two days before I finally got what they were asking me. So it's funny because to everyone else it only looks like it's been a week or two, but to me the last six days have felt like a year - I have changed so much internally. So yah, I don't love the idea of divorce, but honestly, I'm willing now, because I really would like to be married to someone that wants this to work out as much as I do, and that means he has to put in his work too, it can't be one sided anymore.
I have my first therapy appointment since my therapist went on vacation three weeks ago and I'm not sure she'll recognize me. :-) Hopefully in a good way. :-)
     Peace.
