Discussion with boyfriend...

I am upset. My boyfriend and I are both jobless. Today he realized that his unemployment ran out and he has been desperately searching for a job since. He told me he may not come over for a little while. I asked why and he said that he can't come over if he is jobless. I didn't understand because I myself am jobless so why is he leaving me. I asked him if he was breaking up with me and he said no. He said that he feels bad coming here and having no money to give to go eat. I said I don't mind cooking and he said that he still feels bad coming over and eating my food. I told him rice and pasta are cheap and I'm sure we can take turns buying a bag and since a bag lasts a while we can eat for a while. I usually just eat pasta or rice with veggies which also at the farmers market I can get veggies for cheap. He told me that he feels bad that it would be better for him to stay home and look for work and eat his food at home. I cant sleep over his house because I have my dogs otherwise I would and we live far apart so it wastes more time to go back and forth in one day then just to spend the weekend together. Im upset because I feel like he should want to see me and that we can figure out eating when he is here. I mean I have to eat anyway and it usually makes sense to make rice in a bigger batch then to cook a one person portion. So I dont understand. I feel like by him saying that he is saying he doesnt like spending time with me and being with me.
