Hi, my name is Emma, and I am the lead teacher and founder of My Art Space Studio. I have been teaching in the Northern Territory & Queensland for over 10 years. My absolute favourite subject to teach has always been Visual Arts. If you were to ask any of my previous students what I enjoy the most, it would be just that! That’s why whenever I get the chance to integrate it in to my regular classroom lessons I jump at the opportunity.
Karin is a full-time artist with a passion for drawing and painting in every medium. The interactive kids painting classes are presented in a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere and most importantly Jackie will be on hand to offer one to one guidance and support. We do not require the purchase of any additional art supplies to attend an art class at Flying Fox Studios. All resources that the students use, both in class and take home artworks, are included in your term fees. Our large natural light filled studio has been designed with the artist in mind, a wonderful and inspiring creative wonderland nestled within the cute character building of an old Queensland corner store. When kids are curious, their minds are open to art classes for kids absorbing new knowledge, understanding things around them, and learning new skills.

All classes are in Applecross and require the parent to attend with their child.

To us what is unique about the program is that in the beginning of every class the children learn about the history of the artist and the art medium they will be working on for that day. What truly stands out as well is that at the end of the class there is a critique period where all the children gather their art work and they get to choose and critique their peers’ work.
