Discontinuing Pristiq

So, I'm in the process of discontinuing Pristiq. I'm doing it more gradually than the doc prescribed but still having a very tough time. I'm down from 100mg daily to 25mg every other day. I'm surprised to find that my body responds so quickly ... the days when I have not taken it are MISERABLE! I literally feel like I'm going to die! Not sure if it would be best to continue this dose until I am toerating it better or just take the next step and tough it out. Maybe I'll look for help on the boards.
