Discernment

The project here in the Northeast is nearing completion. One room to go and even that room is out-of-the-way enough to leave the way it is without detracting from the household flow. The room's occupant is quite comfy with the current conditions. Why fix what ain't broke? The resident number of the house has grown from 3 to 5 over the course of the project but the project, itself, has remained on a remarkably peaceful trajectory. Everyone seems to be enjoying the changes.

With this project winding down, it is time to let my thoughts flow to future prospects. None are certain. The watersheds are my clearest call. Nothing new there. The more intensely defined my life, the louder I hear the call of the watersheds. Guess where I do lunch, therapy breaks, etc. Wherever there is rain, there are watersheds and you can trust me to find them in any climate zone.

Navigable rivers are my personal favorite watersheds. They combine many of the soothing balms of Nature with the adventure of travel. Sailing "The Great Loop" is pretty high on my bucket list. In my dreams of touring that historic loop down central North America to the Gulf of Mexico, up the Atlantic coast to the Great Lakes and back to the Mississippi River, I am the captain, but I am not above washing the crew laundry and pushing brooms.

Chew chew. . . There is a world full of possibilities.
