Dis-Connect
Hello Everyone~
I just an experience this morning that was quite an eye-opener for me. My pc would not connect to Windows; the little circle went round and round and round and round. I hit the power off button and after that I could NOT get anything to happen. NOTHING. I started to get very frustrated as I have a wedding this Saturday and I need to desperately get it checked and printed out. Arghhh! I struggled with cords; connecting/dis-connecting; turning off/turning on; cursing; leaving and returning; checking phone to fix Dell PC when it won't connect, etc. I then connected a cord from the modem to my pc and it came back. After it came back, it still would not let me connect to the router. After several 'frustrating' attempts, I GOT IT!
I did a meditation after this and this came to me. Sometimes things are dis-connected and there's nothing wrong with that. Sometimes I can't make a connection with Spirit; I have a dis-connect with my daughter right now; sometimes I can't connect with what I am supposed to be doing, etc. BUT, that's ok. It did me no good whatsoever to become so very frustrated this a.m. Actually, it probably made things worse. It also came to me, when the time is right if the connection is to be made, it WILL HAPPEN. I was trying my best to 'force' my computer to work this morning; switching wires, doing this/doing that, etc. It came to me maybe there are times in our life a "dis-connect' is good...maybe were not spiritually ready to make the connection. As silly as this sounds, it was a HUGE EPIPHANY for me. It reminded me of my cactus story. For years it did not grow and all of a sudden it went crazy. Things are taking place in the darkness; in the roots before they come to fruition. Who would have "thunk" this dis-connect with my computer this morning would bring such a gift.
Gotta scoot...need to get this wedding organized. Thank-you Spirit!

I was thinking about you this morning. Perhaps you are more connected than you know? Bigger strides being made during the times that seem like you\'re spinning your wheels the most?
Great insight for learning to let go, isn\'t it?
Thank-you Lisa! Glad your back.
Rich: Just another miracle!
Wow...it\'s a really good way to live/think....A very helpful journal. Often when we look back at our lives we understand this xxx
Just believing we have the Love of our Friends who actually care for our welfare can give us the support we need at the moment to fare well.
Hugszzz
well said Rich
Curious: What happens when we feel we do not have the Love of our Friends? Surrounded in loneliness, sadness, pain so deep we don\'t know where to begin? What then?
You accept the feeling for the negative illusion/delusion that it is and tell your Roommate to grow up? God is always with you so you\'re never really alone unless you choose to feel lonely out of habit , not choice?
Thanks for your response; interesting how people work in different ways. Personally, I would NEVER tell my roommate to grow up! That sounds so much like my Mom and Dad...\"grow up, get over it, etc.\" When I was at my lowest low, severe pain physically and emotionally, that is when I started to feel and ALLOW THOSE FEELINGS. That is when I come to realize I was NEVER alone...But until then, I had no concept of what one would call the Kingdom of Heaven within. That is something I have come to believe on this Spiritual Path...Thanks for sharing....we all find answers in all different ways. xo
Is dependency on the love of our friends to not feel loneliness and sadness not co-dependency too? Does loneliness equate to unlovable? Can we affirm our love and compassion for and to ourselves, or do we need others to avoid the shame of loneliness only through their love and compassion? What\'s the difference between preference and need?
When we don\'t have the love of our friends they\'re probably not really our friends.
I\'m not sure I understand what you are saying. Here\'s what I am working with right now; and I can only speak for me. Eckhart Tolle \"Surrendering becomes so much easier when you realize the fleeting nature of all experiences and the world cannot give you anything of lasting value. You then continue to meet people, to be involved in experiences and activities without the wants and fears of the egoic self. That is to say that you no longer demand that a situation, person, place, or event should satisfy you or make you happy. It\'s passing and imperfect nature is allowed to be. And the miracle is that when you are no longer placing an impossible demand on it, every situation, person, place or event becomes not only satisfying but also more harmonious, more peaceful. This is where I am in this moment; tomorrow...who knows! Carpe Diem!
Is your egoic self the only one who really feels the sensation of loneliness?
Above you quoted, \"You then continue to meet people, to be involved in experiences and activities without the wants and fears of the egoic self. That is to say that you no longer demand that a situation, person, place, or event should satisfy you or make you happy.\"
Connect that idea/principle to, \"What happens when we feel we do not have the Love of our Friends? Surrounded in loneliness, sadness, pain so deep we don\'t know where to begin? What then?\" so according to Eckhart Tolle is possible that only the egoic part of us feels \"surrounded in loneliness, sadness, pain...\". Therefore, Surrendering becomes so much easier when you realize the fleeting nature of ALL experiences, including loneliness and the absence of love from your friends; and the external world cannot give you anything of lasting value that is permanent, i.e., only you can comfort you, alone & lonely or alone and happy.
?
Yes, I do believe for me, my egoic self is the only one who really feels the sensation of loneliness. I have learned over the years and believe there is a place that resides in me that is without judgment, without pain/guilt/shame/blame/loves without conditions, etc. Call it what you will. When I can come from this place or get to this place I call Is-ness, I do feel at peace and feel very comfortable in my skin. I feel comfortable with myself and don\'t feel alone. or lonely. The outside world of friends loneliness, sadness, pain, etc. is very real in my humanness/my body and seems to come and go; this internal place/space I have found does not change. Other\'s can help comfort me in my humanness, but the true comfort I have found for me, comes from within. It is something that is unexplainable to me; the feeling of this Is-ness/Knowing/Love does not have a vocabulary. It just is. Getting to this place E.T. speaks of has taken years to understand and believe for me. I still get lost in my egoic mind of guilt/loss/loneliness/sadness/loss of friends, etc. but I now have found a place I can go to within that never changes and is always there waiting my return. That\'s me! Happy Friday. xo
