dinner at k's//cat had surgery//jm rigged the trunk of the car//lynx was returned//chinese out w/ j
upsetting week so far. the animal had surgery on monday. the polyp is benign. she had a seizure from the anesthesia they believe. one pupil was bigger than the other which means her balance would be off. the polyp was into the inner ear and would have kept growing. yuck. she is on amoxicillin. she is clingy right now and sleeping in the bedroom, on the bed, right next to me, which she rarely chooses.
brought the lynx home as well. he never took to his adoptive home. the man said he was just starting to jump on the bed kind of thing. all the other siamese were listed as shy or were female and he wants a male kitten only. so no go. i gave him a print out of the norwegian as i think its a better match for him, with a photo. we will see. as soon as the lynx got back to my house, he went nuts to see the other cats - tail straight up - especially his sister. he kept wanting to be picked up and nuzzling my face and purring. then i noticed he is also nursing off of one of the other kitties. maybe that is why the freak out at the new house. so maybe he should only be adopted WITH his sister? she is half his size, but she is the more dominant and friendly of the two. had no idea, he was such a big baby. i forgot that he still nurses (no milk, just for comfort). he kept walking up to each cat wanting them to clean him. he's spoiled. today, he is his maniac self. he runs around a lot. amazing how much the energy in the house with him here, it kind of doubles when he is around -- too much actually. very active. hard to believe he hid the whole time at the new house? wth?
jm rigged the trunk of my car with twine because its making me nervous because it doesn't close properly because its smashed in. i'm still looking for deals on my own and need to call wholesalers to get it properly taken care of. its not fun looking for a car anymore. its just annoying. no wonder old people keep their cars forever, and i have become one of the "old people" - the new cars only interest me slightly, little too intrusive with all the "monitoring mechinisms inside" also don't think its healthy. old age DOES creep up on you, and now here it is.
its cold here again, 38 degrees at the minute. brrrr. even the outdoor animals want to come inside the utility room. one of the missing animals by k's was found and they want to adopt him, so i dropped off an adoption form for them. hopefully they will want the mother as well (who is half the size of her son). lol. britney is also around lately, but the other one is still missing and k's favorite is still missing. had dinner at k's monday. super meal. i told him he outdid himself - it was chicken breast wrapped around proscuitto and cheese, EXCELLENT and mushrooms with cherry tomatoes in some kind of sauce baked and then all the normal, potato, salad, wine, coffee with bailey's irish cream and before dinner drinks - something new with gin and lime i think? tried to watch "the ugly truth" with katherine heigl, nk brought it from work. we are both too old for it and got bored 1/2 way or more through. saw 21 jump street the movie, also from nk, and that was EXCELLENT. the new drink has the same impact as an california iced tea, tastes like no big deal and then all of a sudden you are wasted. lol.
went out for chinese with j. ordered parastroy to counter act drinking the water with a chocolate shake straw from a WEEK earlier. i can stillll taste that. yuck! i feel okay now, didn't for a couple of days after though.

hope your able to find a homes and hope your able to find a car.
good luck
Sorry, I have to smile at you guys being cold at 38 degrees! We\'re buried in snow and ice and coming in at minus four this morning, up here. It\'s really uncomfortable. No matter what you do, you can still feel drafts in the house. I feel like I\'m getting a cold an I rarely get one. I\'d like to be where you are right now!!! 38 sounds just about perfect! Just like YOU!! LOL...
Sorry the adoption just didn\'t go well. Better that the cat was returned than to have a bad or non-existant relationship with the new owner. Cats need LUV!!
Hope you get your car trunk fixed! How annoying when our vehicles have something wrong with them. We only totally count on a few things to get us through each day, and a working car is one of them!
Poor kitty on an antibiotic after surgery. I hope he/she feels better really soon. It\'s awful to feel dizzy!!! Big kisses to little kitty!!!
not fixing the trunk, it was smashed in. i told them to fix it, so they called me back using a red book estimate and tripled the original offer. what\'s batty is the guy said, if i lived in georgia or the northeast, they would just send me a check for the car. however, in florida, they TAKE your car and THEN get you a check, but they DO offer two weeks max of rental car for free. i don\'t like that system and wonder who i write to, to try to get it changed. seems to me its just another way for an extra party to make money - maybe the salvage companies? the guy says, i guess florida doesn\'t want broken cars on the road? even he was baffled and kind of embarrassed. it would have to be lobbied to be changed. that\'s always difficult.
funny with the kitty, when he was very little, i thought, he will get left, he didn\'t look as pretty or something, then he got bigger and was the prettiest of the bunch and i thought, wow! a lynx point, they cost a fortune with papers. even now he wouldn\'t be listed as shy because here he\'s far from shy. a conundrum.
Pupil enlargement in addition to lid droop and eye muscle weakness may signal an aneurysm and is a medical emergency. The patient should immediately have neuro-imaging (CT, MRI, MRA, and/or angiogram) to look for the aneurysm.
When only the pupil portion of the IIIrd nerve is not working, the pupil is large and does not constrict in bright light. This might be caused by a medicine or chemical that dilates the pupil. Examples include motion-sickness patches, chemicals used in the garden, and certain eye drops. The patient often is unaware of what she touched that caused the problem but careful questioning by the doctor may reveal the cause. A pupil that is chemically dilated will return to normal size as the chemical wears off and eventually will react normally to light. Depending on the specific chemical, this can take hours or even days.
*hugs* keep your babies warm! I hope they all show up!
thanks.
got a call for two adoptions and i\'m not advertising right now. cool.
its cold out -- bitter cold, even the two outdoor animals wanted to stay in the utility room until afternoon today. i\'d add a cat door there, but what if raccoons and possums go in? they used to hang in the garage at the other house all the time, raccoons in the loft and possums down below. surprised the other outdoor who has chosen life on the next street isn\'t coming in. crazy. it is stopping in to eat, so its not missing.
need to bring a stool sample of the cat that is losing weight, though the hair is growing in. better than the mange one, who has more hairloss again. wth? no idea what to do about that. its very friendly. very thick long coat. careful where it goes outside, because some places are hostile. v said that about his neighborhood, its upscale but he doesn\'t know ONE of his neighbors, its COLD where he lives. so different from where i live. where i am is more like a village (though that gets to you too). i presently despise the redhaired older woman near our house who seems to feel i am responsible for all things that have gone on at my address for the passed 15 years, even though i\'ve only lived there less than six years. she also seems to think i\'m responsible for my neighbor w, who likes to go to auctions, (i DID used to go to auctions, many years ago, so what?) she finds it \"disgusting\" that people buy things at auctions that have been left at public storage, leftovers from garage sales and side of the road freestyle or craigslist free or simply just left there. sooooooo what? and how is it my responsiblity. i don\'t think she realizes that the person she is saying this to, is telling everyone. lol. i wouldn\'t want to believe it because its so petty, but her neighbors on both sides of her have told me identical things at other times and one time she came by to ask me about it. she says, she doesn\'t normally do this, but shouldn\'t i get rid of the swing etc., since the former tenant there who was a \"realtor\" and she says this like its disgusting, found that \"thing\" on the side of the road. DID he? who cares. we live in a very nice area and a swing is a swing anyway. and the church across the road sells used items alllll the time. i\'m all for the sale of used items. she also seems to feel i\'m responsible for whatever his girlfriend did. bl had a girlfriend that looks about the same as me, same age, dark hair, fair skin, but she is much heavier than me. she also drives a white car like i do and she had SEEN her hauling things from the road, and her neighbors saw this. realllly? and this matters why? what a fucking asshole. let me guess her life, she lived off her husband for 50 years and now he died and she is stitting back feeding her pets and judging the neighborhood? she lives ON the water, not a good place to live if you are going to start slamming the people around you. kind of like a sitting duck. this isn\'t the first time she has done this. seems to me its a yearly thing. wonder if its always after the holidays as well? creepy. i said it to g and he said she is a total bitch, so don\'t worry about it, but he has to be nice to her because she lives right next door. she also doesn\'t like carolyn who has lived next to g, two houses down from her for 6 years or more. because of \"people like that who rent but don\'t buy\" i have news for you hon, LOTS of people rent, nowadays, they actually recommend it (though there are all kinds of deals out there as well).
i\'m stunned though. every time i meet an asshole, i\'m stunned.
the torti cat is on antibiotics and seems to be doing better. i still wonder, why they didn\'t put the cat with eye surgery on antibiotics and then it died. its awkward to ask, awkward to even be at a place where you know so much bad crap about so many and still have to do business there until its done. that place changes alll the time anyway, its never permanent, don\'t even want to know why with that...the nature of that job and place will make everyone rude anyway, its such a nasty and full of death place to work. the bit that he wanted to experiment on the twin cats, not merely adopt them, back in 2009 was a stunner. his wife is the one that spilled the beans on that. and then the whacko calls about the animals they did use dying from it, whatever it was. why experiment at all? i think she turned him in for that, its so sadistic. wth? this happened before with an fiv cat that the dutch woman had, she allowed the experiment on that one died as well. senseless. if its not broke, don\'t fix it.
life amongst the superficial. and then an about face and such great ACTS about the animals. really need to find a co-op in washington d.c. or a row house, and see if the law can be changed. though look at england on that one, they have it, and still people don\'t take care of things. and the feed farms, want those closed down as well. no meat eating at all. india has that.
