NOW TWO of the cats are missing, plus the cat from two months ago, the Siamese with the black eyes - so something is definitely up with this, that doesn't just happen. if they want to adopt a cat, why not at LEAST leave a note and fill out a form to adopt like a NORMAL person?! and if its a total nut case, I don't even want to think of what it might be. humans are so totally evil.
i was hoping that the woman behind w's house had the manx - who is a total yowler/demanding. she likes attention and likes things when she wants them. every time I think I hear her, I would go downstairs, but by the time I get there she is gone or its not her? I ran into her husband when I was looking for the new one that is missing and he says he hasn't seen it. the new one missing is the torti. she is very friendly. both of these generally stick very close to home, not like the others that seem to travel between the 3 streets. lol. I think cats go wherever they like the food - like what is being served kind of thing. seriously. even ubu comes around if i'm giving out a lot of moist food and its like, what do they do tell each other? i really think they do. so feeling sick over it, blood pressure goes up and stomach gets ill and then i'll start bleeding from the stress. happens every time.
went to k's for dinner. brought over whiskey sour mix, it was on sale at the hope store -- not much there right now. so he made two types of sours, one with bourbon and one with vodka. the one with vodka was very good. they are also good with plain whiskey and maraschino cherries. the evan Williams egg nog from last week is already gone.
he had already made the sauce for the escargot. yum. this one uses shallots and parsley with butter and brandi (or cognac? in the northeast most of the sauces for escargot are white wine and butter). as always escargot is the best. I like it with vodka martini. haven't tried it with gin martini yet. after the escargot and drinks had cobb salad with broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, bacon bits with ranch dressing.
we had t-day sides, zucchini casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh cranberry garnish, sweet potato pie/casserole with marshmallows and cinnamon. plus spaghetti and meat sauce (yum), which was the original plan for dinner. and garlic bread. I think we should start having fruit for dessert. we did that for a while after both of us had trouble with sugar and me with cholesterol as well. then stopped that too. but you need something sweet at the end of the meal. bailey's irish cream in hot coffee is also good for that.
for the winter, if I could find a good recipe for eggnog, some people are really talented at making that. evan Williams is the best one of the store-bought. had breakfast/brunch out with j, steak and eggs. feels weird to be eating meat again. made spanakopita for lunch. yum, just heat them in the microwave for one minute and you have this exotic lunch. met with rn to coordinate getting the dog spayed. picked up stuff at the hope store for all three of us. picked up painting supplies. they also had red lobster cheese biscuits mix on sale at big lots. returned the smaller mail box and the small sweeper, they have it at the flea market for $4 and its $10 everywhere that is retail. wth?
went to two book sales and found Emily giffin in large print. yay! and an sat book for a. I was looking for the stand and only found an old copy from 35 years ago, but its something. also need to pick up boxes to pack the books that are small print. can't read small print anymore. large size paperback I can handle or hardcover, but large print is actually easier to get through.
was cold last night and now we are back to warm. its in the 70's and aiming for 80. yay! planned to leave early because the dog had to be at the vet in the morning. got home at 6 a.m. instead. was watching a cyber investigation on forensic files, a murder case traced to the murderer by nasty e mails, and its a deaf woman committed the crime with a chain saw. she is on death row in florida. they also had two tyler perry movies and i'm a fan, madea goes to jail (love that one) and tyler perry temptation, he's not in that one. soaked my back as well and while cleaning out the car for stuff to give to charity and looking for the missing plastic bag with notes and work in it, found the shampoos and conditioners that were missing from sally's beauty supply, under one of the seats. its like Christmas when that happens. asleep at 6:30 a.m., up at 8 a.m. i'm dragging. need to start "nativity fast"/advent of some sort.

I\'m so sorry about the missing cats. I know you must be worried sick. It\'s a wonderful thing you do. Why can\'t people just let good people do their thing??? It\'s crazy.
I feed my feral canned food, and yes, it does seem to draw other cats more often than when I leave dry food out. I think the cats DO go where they like what\'s on the menu!!

in my hometown, i started feeding one outside cat, and wound up with at least three more regulars to feed.
i\'m glad my blood pressure went down; was up to 170/100 just a few days ago, though with eating less and getting some exercize, its gone down.
penn you need medication! 170/100 you can have a heart attack. GO TO THE DOCTOR!! also throw out the salt and anything salty. start taking CoQ10 and magnesium. blood pressure KILLS more people than cancer
I feed as many cats, possums or whatever that need to eat. if they can get to where i live i will feed them. they used to call that \"community\" animals. people need to start doing that again. so much food is wasted. put it outside for the animals living out there. most animals in usa die of malnutrition and dehydration in a country that does nothing but waste food and everything else for that matter!
