Dilemma
Hello everyone. I am having a huge dilemma that may throw my whole cycle off. Well My ER is tomorrow morning at 11am but they want me to be there by 9:30am. My boyfriend works and will not be able to get off of work and just yesterday received a written warning for being late. My RE informed me that i would need to bring his sperm with me when I come in at 9:30 if he is unable to be with me to produce and you are only allowed an hour after collecting to have it to the lab or the sperm is no good. Well today my boyfriend explained to me that the latest that he could produce with out being late to work would be 8:00. I dont know what to do and he does not look as though he going to take the day off or go in late. I dont want to jepardize his job but this has been a perfect cycle up until now. My linning is beatiful and I have lots of eggs but its no good if they dont fertilize. I dont know what to do. I wish they could make my ER at an earlier time. I am really getting freaked out.
I hope you all undestand what I am writting as I am just tying my thoughts with out proof reading. i am just really nervous that this cycle may turn out to be a waste. I am trying to stay positive as I have been through out the whole cycle until now. Why cant I just get pregnant the natural way. THis is so freaking frustrating.

Can the doctor\'s office push up your appt? I hope so! Good luck! I would hate to jeopardize a great cycle so far but wouldn\'t want him to lose his job. So stressful! I hope it all works out tomorrow!!
you have 2 choice
1) him going late with doctors excuses ( should have explained the situation to his boss)
2) the RE changing your egg retrieval to earlier time
its a crazy idea to postpone the whole thing, with the money you spent for the medicine.

Call your doctor! I can\'t see why they wouldn\'t work with you!! Keep us updated!
Just bring the sample in early, and wait there for your time! I had to make sacrifices with my job too and often times shows up early and just waited! Let us know!

Make a call to your dr\'s office, all they can say is no. Hoping you get an earlier appt and that this is the month and everything works out!
I understand what it\'s like in a way, my husband had a job like that and they KNEW we were doing fertility treatments, but they didn\'t care. They would get mad at him for being late etc and even with a doctors note he was talked to about it many times.
I am sure the clinic has run into situations like this before, everythnig os so based on timing and there is so much time and money involved with IVF. Hopefully they will be able to help you out!
I\'m pretty sure if your boyfriend had a Dr\'s note, his job would have to work with him on this. Has he said anything to his job about what you guys are going through? They may understand that this one time is a different issue.
That and call your RE right away. See if there is anything they can do to get you in there sooner in the AM.

I would just get to the clinic earlier with his sperm sample, that way dh isn\'t affected job wise or anything. you will just have to wait in the office for a bit, if they are not willing to take you earlier. Hope it all works out!! Lots of luck this cycle!!
