Difficult Times

Since breaking my ankle I find my sadness and depression since my husband passed has grown.  It is a lonely time.  I can't get out of the house unless someone takes me.  I am hoping I will be able to walk on the foot within the next few weeks.
I find myself tearing up so much lately.  I have family who I know want me to feel better and certainly by Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I am not able to envision joy at the moment.
My life feels so empty.

You need to pick up the phone, and call people. You need to distract yourself somehow. Being alone like that is hard. That\'s when my tears start. Hope you\'re up and moving around soon. Prayers and Hugs coming your way.

Hope you are able to get up and around soon. Losing a loved one makes us feel depressed and then being homebound due to an injury??? My heart aches for you. I am sure that things will turn around soon. You could get a head start on all those Christmas cards. If you need extras I could always send you mine to do. Just kidding..I was hoping to make you smile:)

I know this is a very hard time - and everything seems magnified by the approaching holidays I think. \"...let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid.\" John 14:27 Just concentrate on God\'s love for you and know that He has not forsaken you. All your DS friends care too!

Lindanne,
My heart goes out to you. Being physically hurt only compounds the grief emotions. Please don\'t push yourself to be \"normal\" or \"better\" for family members. This is your time to grieve the loss of your beloved. Do what you can, ask others for help. Yes, the holidays are coming - but grief doesn\'t take a holiday and we can\'t fake happiness to get through them especially for the sake of others. Take care, I am sending love and light your way for a speedy recovery of your foot.
Blessings,
Linda
