DID IT!!!
Today was the day we hiked to the top of Bear Butte, a dormant volcano.
W.I.N.D.Y!!!
But the day was PERFECT! 60 degrees, fairly clear trail, good friends! It took us an hour to get to the top because of the height - the closer I'd get toward the top, the more I'd feel vertigo. Didn't help that there wasn't a railing on most of it, lol. But once at the top it was incredible (photos posted - sorry about the quality, camera was set incorrectly). Again, awe in the view... awe in the strength it took to get there... awe in my ability to conquer my fear and anxiety when heading down, lol.
After that, I can DEFINITELY handle anything... Bring on tomorrow! :)

This was a good challenge for you. The view was worth the hike in all that wind. Yes, I agree if you can make this hike up to the top of Bear Butte you can do anything.
