Diapered for Life
So this is my story. About 7 years ago I was going four wheeling with a good friend of mine. He had just rebuilt these four wheelers and he wanted to see how they ran, I agreed. We start them up and head for a nearby trail. I decided that if we were really gonna test them, we really needed to test them, so I kept pushing and pushing my speed... That was until the tie rods broke and the four wheeler went out of control. I got thrown off and my back collided with a tree. When I rolled over to just see if I could move my friend was rushing to find me but moving too fast and ran me over right where my back met with that tree. All I remember is how much pain I was in, and that I had wet my pants, little did I know that was the beginning.
Finally the after accident I went to a urologist where he did a number of tests. He started talking to me about nerve damage and that they were pretty much hanging on by a thread. All things considering he said diapers were the best option for me. However he said the nerves are so weak and so damaged, on day they are just going to give up. I would be totally incontinent, diapered 24/7.
And he was right, I use to just wet the bed and maybe an accident here and there during the day. I could make it to the rest room most of the time, but my bladder never held much. Everytime I sneezed, coughed, laughed, I would wet myself a little.
Then the day came just a few weeks ago... I can't feel any accidents. I can't tell when I need to pee or poop, it just happens. I'm fully diaper dependent and incontinent. The nerves gave up, and got so weak they can't really do much. I'm still trying to figure out what this means and how to deal with it. Any advice would be great.

Hey man. Im going through a similar situation in which i may be "diaper dependent possibly for the rest of my life as well. For me its ulcerative colitis that may or may not get better. I read your story and im very sorry that happened to you. That must have been so life changing. Im just trying to reach out to others becuase im having a hard time with it as well and just thought maybe its good to reach out and talk and maybe be someone to talk to for others as well.
