Diaper ads, really!?
I noticed today that one of the ads on DS is for pampers swaddlers on sale at target. Really!? I mean, just pour some lemon juice in the IF wound here. It's like rubbing it in our faces that most of us would love to be able to buy those but thanks to freaking IF, we can't! Or am I just being overly sensitive here? (it's entirely possible since AF is about to begin and I'm pretty hormonal right now)....

I\'ve seen those ads and ads for baby clothes, formula...you name it I think it\'s slightly insensitive. Then again, they believe at least 40% of us will get pregnant shortly so they want to be the first impression for our pregnancies...
I used to work in marketing so I get why they do it, but this could blow up in their face if some of us complained to say the New York Times. I saw an article about Target guessing pregnancies before they happened and they got into a lot of trouble with consumers. Why? They were sending out print ads to 15 year old girls (whose parents didn\'t know they were pregnant). Target pulled back on that campaign after complaints.
I honestly have never paid attention to the ads on here...... It could be considered a little sting, but since DS has so many other support groups i wouldnt take it as a personal jab against us ladies facing IF..... IDK just my opinoin.
I think the adds are probably the same over many groups so I doubt they\'re that insensitive to our needs/experiences. I am also pretty sensitive about stuff like that though. Sometimes if we are watching TV and someone is prego I panic and need the channel changed. So you\'re definitely not alone in the sensitivity department. Sending you some love from Canada :D
