DH, the Dog & Sister

So Valentine's Day turned out to be OK. Went to dinner with my husband & daughter & it was a pleasant, laid-back time. DH had wanted to go out a few towns away, but since we've had so much snow & I didn't know how those roads were affected, I just wanted to stay local. So that was fine. He wasn't clingy or anything; we were both just pretty tired! My poor doggy has a bad ear infection, but he's got the meds to deal with it now. It's only been 1 day since he's seen the vet, but already the swelling is going down. Slowly but surely, he's getting better. I feel so sorry for him, though! Here's another update: Mean Sister had been nagging via FB to get together after work sometime, since we don't work very far from eachother. So we decided on a date (last Wednesday) & she said she'd text me to let me know the details. Then Wednesday comes & time passes & no word from her. So I texted her to confirm & she responded that she "meant to text" me, that she had all these meetings & things & wouldn't be able to make it. This, after all her begging & pleading & saying "you're my only older sister", blah blah blah. I mean, I don't mind a change of plans. But this seems like it was unnecessarily last minute for one thing. And for another, if it really truly is a priority to get together, then she'll make it a priority. It seems like I'm making a bigger deal than it is, I know. I guess it just bothers me that she strung me along & then "cut the string" so to speak. Anyway, she knows my number; she knows how to reach me. If she really wants to get together, she can do the work to make it happen. And she'll be more motivated to make it a nicer time if she does as well.
