Determination
I received the phone call I was waiting for yesterday! There was a board meeting in the city I live in, and they approved hiring me for a part time position, cleaning the schools. I "got my foot in the door" on what could turn out to be a turning point in my life and definitely a new chapter. Now if I can prove myself and eventually obtain full time with them, I will finally have some much needed health insurance as well as other benefits. I've heard the state benefits are excellent. Of course, Wayne and my brother have already voiced their negativity, saying things like "how long are you going to keep this job?", etc. I will try my hardest to ignore them and also to prove to myself and them, that I am determined to succeed. I know I have been out of work and feeling no need to do anything since my Dad died but, the time has come to accept that remaining in my own little world was doing more harm than good. I have to go take a drug test, TB assessment, background check and finger printed at 10 am today and once everything comes back okay, I'll start my new job. I know all of those tests will be okay so, I need not panic. All of the schools are within a mile or so from me so, my two old vehicles will not have to travel far. That's another plus. I was worried that if I got a job, my transportation would be a problem and now, that potential problem has been eliminated. I really need to stop worrying but that is easier said than done. I have always been like my Mother when it comes to worrying about everything...I am my Mother's daughter so I know where that comes from! Gotta go find something nice to wear. I have so many new "fitting" clothes, I don't know what to wear. Although the weight came off in a bad way, I am so excited to be smaller than I was. I wasn't real big to start with but still overweight. Maybe this job will help to keep me just the size I am. If I lose more, I don't have any smaller clothes but if I gain any, which I doubt, I was smart enough to keep my bigger clothes, this time...hope I don't fit back into them! For anyone who stops by to read this, please keep your fingers crossed for me. I really need the income and the chance to live again. I have a feeling My Dad is very proud of me, and will be giving me that loving "nudge", whenever I need it! One can never receive too much support and/or encouragement, though.
