Destination Older

I have been chain smoking since my mother-in-law had the first of her strokes. She has suffered a long time with end stage Huntington's Disease. Sh-h-h-h-h. It is a family secret. Her strokes have already put her in a wheel chair. The Huntington's took away her verbal skills a very long time ago. She always was better at using words to guard secrets than actual communication. At present she is a shivering doll he dresses in the latest fashions, complete with the hair dye technician who comes to touch up her roots weekly.
My father-in-law assures me her strong, healthy lungs greatly improve her chances of enjoying her new life for many years to come.
Puff, puff...
Dying doesn't scare me as much as decades without the abilities for so much as taking an independent whiz.
Not much enjoying the morning cough routine, though.
