Derm Doc 2/11/2014

7:50am
So I have another appointment today with the derm doc. The last round of pain meds sadly didn't help :(  Now I know how lab rats feel...here lets see what this does! Ah! So we'll see what happens but I'm to the point where, if the doc can't find something that works, I'm just going to wait and see what happens.
Yes the pain sucks but it's been flairing up less and with less intensity. It's always there to some degree but I've gotten use to living with moderate pain. Kind of sad I know but I'm tired of doctors. Then next Wednesday I have to go to my primary doc to talk about my depression meds. Ugh.
Anyway, the pain is a moderate (3) so pretty stable the last few days except for a bit of a flairup on Sunday.
Work wise I'm just going to document what I have done so far. I can't concentrate on work when I have a doc appointment. All I can think about is getting it over with and getting the day over with. Tomorrow I'll be back to my routine and be able to concentrate on the second half of this project. The first half was tough but I think it's mostly working. The second half will be about the same.
Mentally I've been a bit lower the last few days. Not too bad just and nothing like a few months ago but I've slipped a bit. I think it's a combo of the weather, the chronic pain and being swamped with work being 2 people short in our group.
I think the worst part of going to the doc is that it breaks my routine. I need a routine and when it's broken it just throws me way off. I wish I didn't have to live in a rut to function but it's the best I can do so whatever gets me through the day. Does the routine get old? Yes. I found mixing it up a bit helps but I can't mix it up too much or it throws me out of balance. What a life.
Up until 2007-08 everyday was new and different and I was glad to have constant change. How the hell did I turn into...this. 43 and living like a 90 year old. Hell my grandparents were in their 80's and lived a more exciting life then me! Whatever, just get me though the day without being in total pain or having a mental breakdown and that's all I can ask for right now.
I know, I know....baby steps :)
I'm kind of tired so I'll just be happy to get today over with...maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
10:37am
I'm having a hard time concentrating on work right now. I wish this doc appointment was earlier so I could get it over with. I just want to get ready and go and get back. I'm trying not to take a migraine pill but I feel like one is coming on...lovely.
I ran the Swiffer over eveything. There isn't much dust with my filters but enough that it needed done. I still have to clean the bathroom. It's not bad but this weekend for sure or I will start to gross myself out. I have to take down the shower liner too and wash it. It's a pain in the arse to get it down then back up again but it needs cleaned and it's just easier to throw it in the wash with some bleach.
My driveway is a mess with this stupid weather. There are cracks and a few parts are lifted up. I don't care except that my stupid drain pipes run under the driveway and I've had issues with cracked pipes in the past which cost like $5,000 because they had to tear up part of the driveway to get to the stupid cracked pipe. Why they ran the damn pipe under the driveway is beyond me. So dumb. I'm going to move into a f-ing tent.
I'm just whining because my routine for today is totally screwed and I really don't want to go to the freakin doctors office again. I hate sitting there waiting. I'm always there too early but you never know with traffic and parking and I don't want to miss the damn thing after all this BS! Then they charge $4 for parking and the f-ing machine never wants to take my $1 bills but it won't take a $5 or credit card. Unreal. Speaking of I better gather ups a bunch of $1's and hope 4 of them work...

Hoping you will have some good news from the dermatologist. Maybe it will be good timing to see your primary doc if your mood doesn\'t improve. Think you\'re right about the weather and all the other stresses affecting you. They do me. It\'s hard to think positive when you keep feeling bombarded. Hope tomorrow you are back to your routine and feeling better! Many hugs! ,
