Depression Lifting?
Today I didn't feel as depressed as I have been these past couple of days. My back is still hurting a bit, and I remember why. Wednesday I took in all the groceries out of the car, including the heavy stuff like soda cases and water. Geo's ankle was hurting him and he couldn't walk without his cane, so no heavy lifting for him. I also took in most of the groceries on Thursday, but that day his ankle was feeling a bit better so he was able to carry in a bag. We only got 3 big bags of stuff, so that wasn't too bad for him. But I'm not used to carrying heavy things, so I think that's what set off my back. I don't know why I don't think of these things earlier.. like with my mood, I don't know what's causing it until the mood has gone or is almost better. Like how I don't know why I was depressed this week. It could have been my schedule, or one of the many other things I listed yesterday. Still, I was depressed for a couple days before I realized I was depressed, and then when I figured it out it was gone. I don't know if this is just a break in the depression and I'm going to be depressed tomorrow when I wake up, or if I'm going to feel good again tomorrow. I'm hoping of course that I feel better tomorrow. I'm trying to make it into work as much as I can.
Speaking of work, I still don't know how I'm going to talk to my boss about what happened last Monday. I'm scared that he's going to assign me to the Information Desk full time again and I won't be able to go to Managed Care anymore. I guess I will have to wait and see. If my boss gives me a choice I would choose Managed Care, and on the days when they don't have a spare desk for me there I can go to the Information Desk. I know it's not the best situation, since neither department would know when they would have me, but it's what I would prefer. I heard that once you get into a routine at the clinic they move you. I have seen it done to many people I know there. I wouldn't mind trying a new place, but I like where I am now. Well, I don't like being the pawn in a power struggle, but you know what I mean.
I got my walking in today. I'm really regretting not putting on mosquito spray, since I got eaten alive by them when I was walking. There was a cloud of mosquitoes around me as I was walking, each stopping in turn to eat me. The itching hasn't really started yet, but I know it's going to be bad tomorrow. I want to go for my walk after work tomorrow, and this time I won't forget the spray. I didn't think it was going to be that bad. I managed to walk 2 miles at 26 minutes a mile, which is pretty good for me. I have been slowly getting faster. I'm trying to do a virtual 5k at the end of the month, so I better get in shape soon! Spark People is having a contest where you do a 5k on your own, enter in your time and there's a chance to win a prize. I'm not doing it for the prizes, I'm doing it because I want to do another 5k. I can't wait until I get fast enough to do one as an actual race with other people. Right now I don't want to do an actual race because I will be the last one by far. So I'm going to wait until I'm faster to do one.
Mood today was good... I just woke up in a good mood. I talked on the phone with my stepdad until almost midnight, and then slept in until about 12:30. I wanted to take a nap, but couldn't get myself to go back to sleep. It was just too hot. Then, when I did turn the air on it was time for me to go for my walk, so I just went for my walk. It was a better choice than a nap, anyway. Getting my energy the natural way. My back wasn't bothering me too much on my walk, just getting eaten by mosquitoes. I have some cream I will have to bathe in for the itch. You would think after the last time I would have learned my lesson, but no... I had to go without spray. I need to get more, too. Geo and I need to stop by Target when we get a chance so I can get a bunch of things. It sucks not having a car, but that's the way we have to go.
Food today was good.. I was in my calorie range. I did have a lot to eat today, and I'm full. I had my peanut butter bagel for breakfast, ramen for lunch, salad with turkey for a snack, and beef stroganoff for dinner. The stroganoff came out really good... creamy and rich. I'm surprised I didn't go over my fat limits today, but I put everything in and it came out good, so I'm good!

Have you tried the fabric softener sheets hanging from a pocket to repel misquitos? I wonder if it works.
As for work shifting personnel when they learn the job I am sure it is so they have cross trained help. Good luck on talking with your boss.
