Deployment and other such things

I don't have alot to say once again but things around here have been going ok at least.  I've had some issues with my doctors regarding my meds and labs.  Back in October I got a call from my specialist and a note in the mail telling me he wanted me to have labs done ASAP.  Now, I also have labs schedules in January but I guess he felt the need to have extra ones done just to torture me.  I called his office but they said they didn't know what they were for.  So off I went to the hospital to have them done and then never heard a thing about them again.  I do know that when I called my specialist to have my Xifaxan refilled he wrote the dosage for around 700 mg more than what I was normally taking.  I asked if that was a mistake and the nurse said, no, it was right.  I'm tired of having no answers but the fact still remains that he's the only one within a reasonable distance who takes my insurance.  My PCP on the other hand has been really great.  I guess I just have to take the good with the bad.
Deployment is really getting to me too.  It's now been nearly 100 days and hubby is at least trying to communicate more.  I mean, he always wrote nearly everyday on e-mail but now he seems to making more of an effort to say more and I just got a phone call yesterday (call #5 I think) and I know there are wives from his ship that are lucky to have gotten one or two calls so I'm not complaining.  I think I just miss him too much with the holidays coming up.  I thought it was supposed to get easier as the months went on but really, I'm not feeling that way.  I gave up on my big projects...well, that's not the right way to put it.  I think I made the mistake of sitting down and reading all this stuff about how you're supposed to handle deployment in the way of setting goals for yourself and doing projects and stuff and I made this huge list.  Well, for every day that I wasn't up to going to the gym because my meds weren't sitting well got depressed because I wasn't working on my goals.  It was little things like that.  So I decidedto stop trying to do all these great things that other women say are great to do but in reality, at least for some of us, just don't work.  I started doing things the way I want to do them and I'm much happier.  I don't give myself a schedule and it's better that way because I seem to get more done and also, I have lost about 4-5 lbs so that's a good thing too.  My doc says to keep in mind that I may not lose a ton of weight (he's been saying that for the past year) and you know, that's ok because I get out and walk every day and do things around here and I feel good about it.  I'm still tired most of the time but even that's ok.  I just refuse to be the "perfect deployment wife" and in a way that's what my husband expected when all this started.  He expected me to make a ton of friends and be out of the house every minute of every day and he used to ask me in every e-mail and such how my goals and projects were coming.  I told him exactly what I just wrote  here and let him know that I am perfectly comfortable with where I am in life right now and that he didn't need to worry so I think he feels better too.
In any event, after the holidays it will be around the halfway mark in deployment and that can't come fast enought right now LOL  Take care and God bless
