Denied Life Insurance
I got a letter today informing me that I've been denied coverage for life insurance. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, and "brain tumor" seems to ring some alarm bells. Still, it's utterly frustrating. I don't think they took a serious look at my prolactinoma (<5 mm) or my medical history, or they would have realized that it is absolutely not life threatening. I've lived with it for 14 yrs without any change in size or symptoms! I'm actually a very healthy person, eat well, exercise regularly, don't drink/smoke/do drugs. I don't even drive very often, which is major risk factor! I'm frustrated by these "ancillary" side effects of my tumor.

They are just looking for an opportunity to say \"no\". It\'s clear they don\'t understand Neuroendocrine tumors. It\'s more or less a wart as it\'s not malignant.
