Delusional Pondering

All psycho nag flags are waving this morning, from the physical tremors and gut knots to the cursing of the cosmic forces for making me face another day. I'm old and horribly broken since childhood. Do I really have to keep doing this? I sit here alone and lonely in the newly established base camp of my river dreams and wonder anew if this is how Noah felt after his ark was built and he was waiting for ? ? ? What's next Lord? Am I as crazy as the local community thinks I am? Just breathe. . .

A peculiar leak started over one of the studio windows yesterday. There is no plumbing on this side of the house, so I don't see how it can be anything other than snow melting on the roof. The leak has been steady and hard enough to soak my modest supply of towels and I have no laundry equipment in house. I am reduced to using dirty laundry to catch the steady drips. I really should have done laundry before the snow. . . The leak drew my attention to a massive ice block on the outside of the window casing. Two drip tendrils inside the eave of the house support the theory. I went outside to chip the ice block off the house in hopes of rerouting the drippage. I am just now regaining use of my frozen fingers, but the drip has, indeed, let up. The weather forecast predicts a warming to start today.

I have a date with my potential friend from church this morning. Hope I am not looking psycho enough to chase her off. Wouldn't be the first time.

Gut knots are awful. Yes breathe~
Amazing no matter how far along the line in this “wellness management” of our life we get, there are always some trickling riverlets that pull us back from time to time.
I hope you make it to visit with your church friend. Triple hugs

I wonder if she's worrying about the same thing? Making new friends can be intimidating.

When it dries up and it will. Check the outside caulking, and redo as needed.

I hope you get a chance to get out for a bit.

Feeling squeamish about some wood rot I noted up there while I was chipping off the ice block this morning, but. . . Here's to hoping caulk is all I will need. Yet another detail that didn't hit my list of nostalgic memories of fun in the snow. . .

Today's visit was two hours longer than the first 6 hour visit. Feeling hopeful, but my social anxiety is reminding me that too much too soon all to often spins out of control. For now, I am just celebrating the fact that I feel much better tonight than I did this morning. Progress over perfection.

Small steps, big faith and lots of prayer.
