deeply concerned
i brought my one year old son in for his checkup yesterday and the dr heard a heart murmur and this is the first time she has heard it. my son was referred to a pediatric cardiologist. i am so deeply concerned and am very worried about my little guy. i'm hoping its just an innocent murmur because ive heard those are not serious but i keep thinking what if it is something serious!! i hate to think the worst but sometimes thoughts just end up being that way :( he is my only child and i love him so much and could not even imagine or begin to think what id do if he had something serious wrong with him. may god keep my lil man safe and healthy. may all my dear daily strength friends keep my son jayden in their prayers. thank you all so much.

Many people have heart murmurs and go through life without being diagnosed just fine. I have one and my daughter has one and neither one of us has been treated for it, and we are just fine.

I just read the post on your son\'s heart murmur. I had one when I was a child. As I grew up, it has gotten better. My heart is healthy right now and I am 39 years old. I wish the best for you and your son.
