Declared Sobriety

Last night when I got home from work I told my wife that I was giving up alcohol once and for all. She said that's good but will you at least have one or two when we have a get together with friends? I told her not because I don't want to get back to repeating this vicious cycle of drinking. She totally respected me and said she supported my decision. Tomorrow night, we will be attending a celebrate recovery class at a local church near our house. She was excited about it too. So instead of going out on a Friday night for a movie or dinner date, we'll be joining a support group to help me get back to a life without alcohol.
