Decision?

You never say it, but I get the feeling that you're the designated scapegoat of the family...the one to blame for all faults. I'm not a fan of divorce, but I wonder if it's the healthiest option for all involved...

(No idea if I'm totally off target...forgive me if I am. Certainly no offense intended. As you so often put it...I hope for...healing for all...)

Whenever I travel from Atlanta to St. Louis, I always seem to stop in Paducah. :) Congrats on your decision!!!

I used the term, "Identified Patient," but "Designated Scapegoat" works just as well. Divorce remains a potential solution for that problem, at least as applied to me, but for now, I am going to continue working the geographical solution.

I have not called any agents or owners yet. As much as I love peeking through windows of available options, I have yet to find the joy in the actual shopping, etc. For certain, those negotiations fare better without prejudice of having decided you MUST HAVE before the negotiations begin. Small steps.

I'm gonna keep trying to be a river rat. Still far more fantasy than fact.

I'd recommend Pittsburgh as a confluence of three rivers, but... Paducah works. Small steps indeed. Geographical relocation has done well for me, in many ways. Much harder to be drowned in the unseen currents of family dynamics if I am nowhere near the gene pool, in my case... And there's always month-to-month leases so you have the option of relatively immediate freedom...

That very fact has Pittsburgh solidly and respectfully on my radar, but this neighborhood has more rivers than I have yet to count.
