Today went to the Gym and workout for about an hour.  It felt good to workout after the disapointment yeserday at the docters office.  I found after a month of working out.  I only lost three pounds.   I was so angry.  I am still angry.

I know exactly how you feel! Our local Gym holds a \"biggest loser\" contest every year. I joined the contest one year hoping to lose a lot of weight. I didn\'t care if I didn\'t win, I just wanted to give myself a good kick start so that I could start getting my weight down.

Well, at the half way weigh in I discovered that even after cutting down on my eating, walking absolutely everywhere I went, and working out at the gym every day, still I had gained 5 pounds! I was so upset! but I didn\'t give up. I kept trying so by the end of the contest I had lost the 5 pounds that I had gained, another 5 on top of that. It was a depressing end to a long hard journey. But the folks down at the gym were very nice about it all. They told me that I worked harder than any one else and I should be proud of my accomplishment. The fact is that by working out, I was losing fat, but I was gaining muscle and fat weighs less than muscle. So even though my weight didn\'t come down I was actually thinner than when I had started out. Knowing that didn\'t make me any the less embarrassed by the results though.
