DECEMBER 2014 -3-
About 10 years ago my dear hubbie had heard on the radio driving home from work about how many children were spending Christmas in hospital and that the wards were in need of support of new toys, games and items to bring Santa cheer to these young ones. From that moment on, Craig and our daughter Meaghan purchased and delivered of hundreds of dollars of new toys for kids of all ages from newborn to older teens and quietly took them to our local hospital's children's ward - without fail
Last year and again today, Meaghan and I made the walk down the hospital corridor without him. This year we were welcomed to Arrendele - the Children's Ward had been decorated by the amazing staff into the movie Frozen. There were little ones being led through this glittering wonderland by wonderful carers and parents and to see their smiles and hear their laughter while uplifting was bittersweet. Both Meaghan and I left the ward with tears streaming down our cheeks and in unison said "dad would have loved seeing this'.
Happy to help others, but so sad to do so without him - this year seems so much more difficult - so lonely, so wretched, just so very very hard to cope atm. Just so grateful that we are able to continue his legacy in this regard.

I\'m sure he was proud of you both for making all of those kids and parents so happy by continuing what he had begun those 10 years earlier.
Bless you both. He would have loved seeing you carry on his tradition.
Thank you for sharing!! It brought tears to my eyes. God Bless you both.
What you did is exactly what this holiday is all about! You, Meaghan and your dear hubbie are written down in the book of life. Your good deeds will not go unnoticed and will come right back around. Thank you!
