Death of a Friend
I got a call last night from my best friend to tell me her husband had just died of a heart attack....we've been friends since I was 9 yrs old....and I've known her husband for nearly that long. I lived with them for a Summer some years ago, while I was waiting to move to California.... He was seemingly very healthy, active, bicycled and loved scuba diving....this is all a shock... So....another journey to Indiana, where they will be holding the funeral...I just did this!!!!! I feel sooo bad for my friend....she has never lived alone in her whole life!!! This is going to be doubly hard for her because of that!!!! He is the only man she has ever been with...that is a rarity indeed these days! They are both nurses and she gave him CPR untl the ambulance came last night....so sad... So here I go again,'got to reschedule everything this week...get a ticket, rental car, etc..... The last month has been a hard one.... thanks for all your support...Love, Dianne

Dianne hon, I am so sorry. Life is so unfair sometimes. I feel so bad for your friend. I fear the day this happens in my life...my husband\'s family has such a horrible history with heart disease, his dad died at 59 from it. We take all of the precautions we can, but with diabetes and heart disease the chances of a long life are never great. My heart just goes out to her. I am sending prayers for strength to you.....life has really been rocky for you lately my friend. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this and especially for your friend. This is frightening and I can\'t imagine how she must be feeling right now. Your place right now is with her - I know it\'s been a hard month - so many things rolled into one. Life is like this sometimes. Diane, I know how hard this is for you. It is hard enough but following so close to the death of your bio-mom just makes it all that much harder. What a horrible shock for your friend and how heroic of her to try to save him. She will need you to be there for her to give her strength and courage. My thoughts will be with you , have a safe trip, and be grateful that you are in recovery and can face life as it happens. Love and hugs.
