Death and a new life
My husband passed away 3 years ago on May 29, 2015.
My dad passed away 5 weeks later.
It was difficult at first, then my grief was compounded by the memories of my marriage and the physical abuse and then learning after my husband's death that he had 7 other affairs that I had not known about. Finding out after he died meant no closure.
But after a year of therapy, I was able to get past all of that.
Today things are the complete opposite from my first marriage. I'm engaged to an amazing man who would never hurt me. We're happy and life is wonderful. I finally see how a healthy relationship should be. I no longer live with anxiety and fear.
And somehow, after 13 years of infertility, I was able to have another baby. My first husband and I tried for years, and the doctors said it was because of complications during the delivery of my first son. There was so much scare tissue that was keeping me from getting pregnant. Add in PCOS, and it all seemed impossible.
My new baby is now an 18 month old, and he's wild and sweet. We named him Caleb.
Jonathan is 15 years old now, loves music, plays guitar, and will be learning to deive this fall. Crazy how time flies.
But life is good now. I'm happy. We're happy. And you never know what tomorrow may bring.
