Dealing with the guilt.
Every time I think about that night, when it all went up like an atomic bomb, I get the overwhelming guilt of the things I said and did so wrong. I pray for God to take away my shame, take away my guilt and take away my sorrow. I know it wasn't all my fault, but that night was not my greatest moment in life. I am embarrassed by my actions and my words. How did we go from the most amazingly in love couple to the people we are now? How did this go from a wonderful marriage with hopes and dreams for a future, to two people so completely hurt and devastated. I pray that God heals us both soon. The pain is just too much at times.

It is interesting that both sides always feel overwhelming guilt. I was not the one who chose to end the marriage, nonetheless, I still feel tremendous guilt about times in our relationship where I could have been more compassionate, or just an all over better spouse. Good luck with your journey
I pray that you heal soon, too. Both sides feel guilt and hurt. It royally sucks that we can have such great love turn into great sorrow.
I am certainly feeling like you now and need to remember what I\'m about to say to you - forgive yourself.
I don\'t know your story or the timing, but can you apologize? Is reconciliation and therapy out of the question now?
I have asked her to go, and still do. I apologize every time I speak with, text or e-mail her. Unfortunately, the words just don\'t seem to mean anything to her.
