Dealing With It All

I have a hard time coming here, for some reason it doesn't remember my password.
I have good days and bad days.  My main beef is that I don't look sick so my husband just acts like I'm a hypocondriac.  I sometimes run myself ragged.
I try to just let the others attitudes go, I'm amazed at myself for actually almost achieving this at times.  I'm usually a type A, a bit OCD type person.  Wow, a bomb went off in the kitchen?  No big deal, it's just a mess, it will get done.
I found a young girl to come in and help me with the baby and household duties a few days a week.  Wow, it's so wonderful.  She's low key, 21 yrs. old, and her air force husband got blown up and brain damaged in Iraq.  Her husband is right now in the VA hospital in La Jolla.  So, seems like her pain, and my problem although different gives us some commonalities.  Plus, in my zeal to help her with some things, I can almost forget my own problems.  I noticed the last few days that I'm not as breathless as I was.  I almost tend to think that it might almost be stress/anxiety related.  My heart starts beating hard, and I pace, and have to walk around to get a nice deep breath.  The more I think about it, the worst it gets.  Having this young girl here as helped change my focus.
As I expected, (although no one believed me) Kaiser turned me down for insurance.  I have worked on my stress level, so I didn't even feel phased by it.  My hospital bills came rolling in, lab, xrays, ER, doctors and I again, just paid off some and was counseled to strike a deal with the hospital as a cash payment.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.  All they can say is no deal.
My husband went to work, (he's retired) and was able to keep his pensions active, but get in the hours we needed to start insurance.  But all paperwork takes time so it won't be active until Feb.  Seems like forever when your uninsured.
I did most of my christmas shopping online, so worth it.  Luckily I had some money to spend this year so was able to feel good about all my purchases.
My husband got mad because I wouldn't eat sweets.  He says, your not a diabetic.  I know I'm not, but just the hospital lab telling me my blood sugar was a little high was enough for me to be more proactive in my diet.  My main problem was not the foods I ate, it was the fact that I just didn't eat.  So my blood sugars would get crazy.  I am a protein person, so try to get that, along with a lot of veggies.  Just a few fruits an very little carbs.  I ate a half piece of candy yesterday that a neighbor brought over.  Had to, it was chocolate covered peanut butter/coconut.
Well, yeah, you noticed, I am a blogger, and can cover a lot of territory with my words in such a short time.  As for that.  I haven't wrote in my blog since Thanksgiving.  I'm starting to feel I need to.  I have been in a forum for crunchy moms helping them and learning a lot.  If anyone knows of a better word than "crunchy" (oh how I hate that) then let me know.
