Dealing
I'm starting to accept my symptoms and that I'm going to have to be patient with getting a diagnosis. Taking things one step at a time instead of worrying about the future, how I'm going to get through my shift, how I'm going to pass these classes, is starting to help me.
I stopped trying to perfect everything write. That takes too much concentration. I stopped being mad at myself and feeling guilty for my "laziness"
I'm doing my best.

I used to be hard on myself and feel like nothing but a lazy loser. My body would not allow me to do anything! Was a struggle to get out of bed to go use the restroom or get a glass of water... I have now learned to do what I can when I can. Some days are easier than others... Its a long process ,so to speak, of getting to know your limitations, what makes it worse, what helps..etc... Try keeping a journal of everything. Write down how you feel each day and what you do.. It helps so that you're able to look back and maybe figure out what made things worse .
Right now I know that work is making it worse. I don't want to change my schedule or take a leave until I have a diagnosis.
I've been to two separate Emergency rooms and had chest X-rays, a CT, labs done, and two EKGs.......they said everything is normal except that my potassium is low but they told me that wouldn't be the cause of my symptoms.
One of the docs suggest I go to see a neurologist, keep notes of how I'm feeling....etc....so I did. I had my appointment and he glanced at my symptoms and said "anxiety, I'm gonna give you a prescription for it." Then he spent the next 15 mins talking about anxiety / depression and his knowledge of medicine. He didn't even ask me to explain any of my symptoms.
He told me that he knows anxiety is the cause ( I highly highly doubt that ) and that he wants me to have an MRI / MRA done to rule out anything emergent. I have an appointment this Monday to find out what my results are and in the mean time I'm supposed to be taking anxiety pills but I'm afraid it will make things worse
Im trying not to think too far into what triggers my symptoms because right now I have to work. I can't afford not too. But it gets so hard for me. I used to be able to work my shift, sleep 6-7 hours and feel brand new and ready for the whole week. Now I work my shift, dragging myself along, sleep 10-12 hours and feel completely unrefeshed
You've taken a couple of big steps in learning to live with this condition. Our best is all that any of us can do. Keep hold of that when people don't understand and say unkind things.
