Day One?

I think that foggy mist on the other side of the breakfast bar this morning might be my stuffy little accountant. In the meditative wander of the morning, his tailored efficiency has loosened its tie and is declaring it, "Defining Time." The new fiscal year is upon us and the bureaucrats are circling the wagons. Time to go through the receipts and define the columns. So I imagine. those foggy mists are hard to read. The can and do morph on breezes more subtle than a sigh.

In actual fact, the first bills for the new house have arrived. Bookkeeping protocols needed. Hubs and I worked out the plan to mesh this operation into the estate books while he was here. In theory, all I have to do is plug in the numbers and column headings. In theory. . . Even the most time honored of systems have a way of snarling in the process of moving from theory to fact. It is time to start collecting bids for the aeroponics lab. It is time to start signing up for river classes and finding my niche(s) within the local community. Boy Toy is still in need of maintenance and a renewed inspection/tax sticker. In fact, his maintenance is so far behind that he won't pass inspection in any State I know of.

Today is the 3 week anniversary of closing the deal on this house. It feels like day one of the next phase because of the blessings my partner in dreaming left behind as he packed for his return flight yesterday. It may be time to start defining columns, but the chapter heading is far from defined, and. . . Works in progress.

Stepping small, praying big and listening for the quiet voice.
