Day off results

Well I guess my day off went ok.  I did have about 3 hours alone which was nice.  Wish I had been reading a book I enjoy.  Got some stuff done so I didn't feel like I just sat all day.  Did eat way too much though.  My knee is starting to bother me again.  I really need to take off 20 pounds, but not going to do it munching all day like I did yesterday.
Ended the day badly though arguing with my middle son.  Wedding stuff.  He says I need to be more involved but every time I get involved it just messes things up.  He asked me to find someone to do the cake.  Even his bride said he was in charge of getting someone for the cake and he I felt handed it to me.  So I found someone.  We negotiated price, gave her a picture and she said she could do it and we were now hammering out icing or fundont.  I thought we were there.  Last night I get told the bride found someone to do the cake.  WHAT???
Got told well nothing was finalized with the person I was working with.  Well no written contract and still working on details yes, but felt pretty agreed upon to me.  Now looks like I need to tell her she isn't doing the cake.  Not that she had started baking it or anything, but ugh.  It is the daughter of someone I work with so awkward.
Zachary says I didn't keep him informed enough and he had no idea it had progressed past a "can you make this" stage.  We gee once she said she could and we agreed on the price I thought that was a done deal.  Didn't know we were shopping around for better deals.  Her price was within what I had budgeted for the cake.  Zachary admits I was supposed to be the only one looking for someone and didn't know his bride was shopping around for someone too.  Sure will be glad when this wedding is over....
