Day four post op

So today is day 4!!! I am feeling pretty good except my voice is weak and I cant make it loud enough to get the kids attention. Their voices are louder and mine is not heard. The back of my neck is quite sore as I am baby-ing the front and everything is tensing up. If I could just stretch it out it would be great!!! My right side is kinda tender were they transplanted my parathyroid glands into neck muscles. I really wish I had done this sooner. Such a chicken shit for no reason. I am hoping that my replacement meds are regulated easily and have smooth sailing from now on. Mandi needs 175mcgs and they started her on 88 so she was hypo for a few months. I am hoping that since I was started on 150mcgs I am hoping that it wont be as bad. I hate being hypo!!! Other than that I am great!!!! O ya a nd I cant yawn yet and that really sucks!!! I also have not sneezed because I was too scared to let it come out in fear it would hurt too bad!! Ya I am a sissy!!!

hey, mal! i am so glad to see you are doing this well from your surgery. take it easy and don\'t try yelling (or singing yet -- LOL).

just a warning, your doc will probably keep you a TINY BIT hypo, it\'s a safety thing to keep cancer cells from coming back. but your end level should leave you very functionable. hubby works a difficult 40 hr wk job and gets through ok. (age 57)

a good site to learn more is thyca.org. hubby\'s endo recommended it and i learned a LOT there.
