day eleven

i don't feel too bad today.  i seem to be pretty nauseous, which is annoying.  and of course, i'm achy and tired lol.  going to get some tattoo work done today.  my tattoo artist isn't sure how taking mtx is going to affect my healing, so she's going to do a little touch up work and see what happens.  the thought of never being able to get tattooed again because of the immunosuppression makes me so sad!  i have so much more work to get done.
i'm starting to get a little scared about money.  i'm getting ready to start a part time job - 19 hours a week - and it made me think.  i'm working about 13 hours a week now, plus 8 hours of commuting.  and the commute is freaking me out because it takes forever and i get so tired, i'm a bit afraid to drive.  so once i start this new job i'm going to stop working for my dad and driving all the way to the city.  but will i be making enough money?  i just don't know.  budgeting has been hard since i stopped working full time a few months ago to concentrate on my career and school.  we thought my husband's income would cover it and, wouldn't you know it, his industry has slowed down in the last couple of months.  damn.
it's like, where do you cut the money?  we go out to eat maybe twice a week.  we don't go out to like movies or shows or anything fun like that because of the cost.  i could stop juicing, but i feel like that really makes me feel better.  i could feed my cats shit food instead of quality stuff, but i'd feel like a horrible mom and would probably end up paying more in vet bills.  i already stopped drinking soda, we don't eat meat in the house, we don't buy ridiculous snacks.  my grocery bill for two people per month is  lower now that we eat healthier - who would have thought?  and now that i'm making our own laundry soap and cleaning supplies, i'm going to be cutting out paying for pricey chemicals, too.
so what's left?  and let's not talk about the holidays coming up.  or the fact that i think i need a new computer.  or the fact that we still need a kitchenette set so we have someplace other than the couch to eat.  i'm glad i have this space to vent.  i have a blog but could never write like this on it - it's not anonymous and people i know read it.  i wouldn't want some people to know my situation.

Sounds to me like you are planning and that is a big part of \"being ready\" for what may come. If you a hubby sit and work together, the end result is even better. It\'s a shared thing and with this \"stuff\" we deal with, you have to share - it is a must - supporting each other. Personally I think you are doing just great.

Be well and Peace
