Day after a car accident

I wasn't sure how to mark this entry...I'm part frustrated, mostly in pain but relieved my car accident yesterday didn't cause paralysis or fracture my spine. I know this is a real possibility in my condition so I am grateful to God for this blessing. I am not enjoying the ice blankets on my spine to keep the inflammation at bay but am glad I had them in my freezer, ready to be used at any time. I think I had a reaction to the pain meds they injected into my IV . At first I refused the medication so I could remain lucid when the officer came to take my report and to listen well after the CT Scan they took. I spent several hours throwing up every thing I ate or drank. I had to laugh a little at the comments made regarding my CT Scans on my cervical as they had to take extra time to read them due to the "mess" it was and the muscles that have been surgically altered and not yet healed. I'm glad for the candor of the doctor, as I'd rather that than pity. I've seen the face with pity written all over it and the eyes that don't quite meet mine. It always disturbs me. I never did make it to my neurosurgeon follow-up and rescheduled it for tomorrow. I was joking with a friend that I would like a helmet and an adult car seat to sit in when I have to go somewhere. I'm a little nervous to even get into a car, but needs must.
How do I feel? Sore, like I've been beaten all over my chest, back, shoulders and hips. Oh, and a headache that won't quite go away. Other than that...jolly good, thanks for asking.  Ah, sarcasm...the fun never ends with DDD does it?
