Day 9- Blah!
I can't believe it is raining again! Ugh! I had a 2 1/2 hr drive up to the Pocono Mountains this AM for a fire. Turned into an over 3 hr drive due to rain, accidents, traffic and heavy fog! I was really praying for a beautiful sunny drive in the mountains as the leaves are starting to turn. Oh well. Then I got the pleasure of driving home. fog and rain was so bad in some spots I thought several times about pulling over. Super nice people though who lost everything.
Working from home tomorrow. Need to focus. Still getting in my 10k steps a day. I think yesterday was like 8 days in a row. Still logging in to Sparkpeople and counting my calories. did 1700 calories yesterday and I am mad at myself! I was really low (only 1000 calories) when I left here to teach Catechism at church last night. Came home and was STARVING and just over did it and it was 700 calories of junk food to boot right before bed! Trying to do better today. David and I walked the dog last night 2 miles. Will have to do something on Wii tonight due to rains.
Looks like the breeder found a nice home for "Blue", Remmy's brother, in NJ. We friended each other on FB and he seems really nice. A little older than Paul and I. Lost his male Gordon a year ago and is heartsick and wants another. I know exactly how he feels! Donna told me on FB that she knew we were the best home for Remmy when we walked away while she went into the Starbucks and Remmy was just jogging along with David and never looked back. (They bonded instantly.) She said she had tears in her eyes when she saw him walk away. That made me feel good. Personally, I think it was the best family decision to get Remmy and I agree he was a perfect match for all of us! Even Kona is happier since we got him! They are such buds! So I am relieved that "Blue" is safe and going to wonderful people!
What an extremely unproductive week for me! Hopefully, will get a good night's sleep tonight and wake up ready to go tomorrow. Praying to lose a lb or two this week to keep my morale and motivation going.
