Day 83-88, morning

Today is day 88.  On the 2nd, if I stay on track, I will reach the 3 month mark.  I have met my goal of 30 days of regular exercise.  Over the last five days, I completed the last of the goal with stretching, classes for my blue belt and practice of my form at home.  In class, I've received compliments on my balance and my striking and chambering.  Kind of shocking considering. Also even with my niece and nephews here, I was able to keep to my goal of at the very least sticking to my exercise goals, attending class.  Today is a class day.
I don't think I can destroy the athlete in myself....well, yes, I probably can, but it's a hard thing to do....I can try, but it's a lot harder than maybe I think.  No more than I can destroy my most authentic self.  I can bury it, try to hide it, try to destroy it, but underneath all I've done I am still there..my most authentic self....waiting...ready to step forward.  I have a lot of fear here. Actually I am quite terrified.  I know there is no basis for it.  I'll have to spend some time thinking on it.
When you are fearful of that authentic self, of your physicality, remember that you are the tree, not the leaves.  You are still water reflecting.  You are the mountain.  You are solid.  I can do this.  Just breathe and ride this wave.  It's a part of the process.
Today is day 88.  I am committed to making a life change. I am beginning to see benefits from the life changes I'm making.  I am grateful that I can recognize these changes.  I am the tree, not the leaves.  I am the mountain.  It day 88 and I am solid.
