Day 80, morning
Today is day 80. I met my goal of regular exercise by stretching, taking a long way to walk to work and by attending blue belt class. I hope today to stretch before work. Anything beyond that is my choice. I'm 5 days from meeting my goal of 30 days of regular exercise.
Class yesterday: Once home it was difficult to motivate myself to go back to town for class, but I'm really happy I did. I had fun. My balance and control were really good. No real soreness except for some small muscles from holding my legs chambered while balancing on one foot...not surprised by that. I also had to ice my hand when I got home from board breaks, but really enjoyable. The body remembers. Having done the class, I realize how achievable my blue belt is if I just show up. It'll be a bit down the road, just need to show up. The other neat thing about this belt testing is it is required that you have your previous forms memorized so we'll be practicing them in class. I don't need to do anything outside of class if I don't want or have time for it. Where the challenge will be is getting myself to class on a consistent basis. To motivate myself to return to town for class. I can do that.
Alcohol thoughts yesterday to a minimum. Just the barest of thoughts. Good things. My scalp is continuing to heal...it's the most healed it's been since I started having problems. Hopefully a haircut is in my near future. Also I noticed at class that my big toe nails are 1/3 a yellow fungus color, but the bottom two thirds is a nice healthy white/pink color. All of this is nice to see. Patience with the scalp. Everything is going in the right direction. Be patient.
I need to get the house the rest of the way prepared for company next week. They'll arrive on Saturday.
