Day 8: only 7 days on track...

I had a wonderful rest day on Friday, and believe it or not, even though my birthday was on Saturday, I stuck to the schedule and ran!
Saturday morning was amazing. I hosted a brunch at my place and invited just 10 or so friends. I didn't feel like throwing a big bash, and I loved having everyone be able to relax and talk rather than sit at an awkward table at a restaurant and then deal with the inevitable awkward check-splitting. I made each and every one omelettes, and they all loved them! Spinach, mushroom, cheddar and sausage omelettes, with a pastry spread of croissants, muffins, bagels, triple creme cheese, and sourdough batard. My boyfriend was in town of course for my birthday, and he was serving up the pancakes with syrup and blueberries and bananas. To top it off, everyone brought champagne so we could all have "bottomless" mimosas :)
I didn't count a single calorie for that day, but trust me when I say I'm starting again today!
Sunday was supposed to be my 5 mile run, but I needed a day to recover from the heavy brunch and the running I did on Saturday, which is why I say I'm only 7 days on schedule. Today is a rest day, but I am switching it with Sunday which means I need to run 5 today. As soon as I do, I'll be back to 8 days on schedule. :)
Wish me luck! And happy Monday everyone!
