Day 7 smoke-free! 8-17-10 quit date

Well, kinda stressed right now because I have been making sure my son is at his bus stop everyday at 7:20 and this morning I totally slept through the alarm clock and woke up at 11 am. My son stayed asleep as well. I try to pride myself on getting him to school on time! I guess I can't dwell on whats already been done! All I can do is make sure it doesn't happen again by setting 2 alarm clocks.
I have some post nasal drip and a slight cough, I guess thats the effects of quitting smoking. I am proud of my determination to quit smoking. This is something I have been thinking about doing for along time, through the years.

I used to have the same problem. I put my alarm clock on the other side of the room so I had to physically get up to shut it off. Maybe try that? Don\'t be too hard on yourself. Its not BIG stuff.

I am with forerica. Don\'t be too hard on yourself. You are doing great and hanging in there with 7 days!!! Pat yourself on the back because those are tough days to get through!

Remember - you are learning. Definitely a hard issue, but I think your son will understand that quitting smoking is best for you and everyone. Hope you can wake up tomorrow. And please, no condemnation. Celebrate the victory, I think.
