Day 7 morning
When I get through today (I write when because I will not drink today), it will be one week. Incredible!! Dogs woke me at 5:45. They let me sleep a little. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. I had bought a newspaper a couple days ago, because I used to like to sit in the morning and read the paper and I hadn't done it in awhile. So this morning I was finally able to lie on the couch with a tea and read that paper. It was really nice. Sun coming in through the window. Birds walking around out on the lawn. The news a few days old, but it was really just the doing of it...the positive action of it.
Something I noted last night. I have a detached garage and when I walked the distance from the house to the garage to look for the tent, I was walking, not staggering or lurching to the garage. That's different and new and emotionally hit me in a good way. I found the tent. Should be fun. The weather's been hot. It'd be a nice night to sleep out.
I feel really good today. I had some cramping up of my muscles last night...like always on the verge of a charlie horse especially in my feet. I'll try to drink more water and I forgot to take my vitamins yesterday. I got some sweet potatoes which are high in vitamin A. I'll make some muffins and then steam a sweet potato for dinner. I'll try to add them to my diet as a regular staple. I have some liquid vitamin D. More water. I'll fill my big cup with water and ice and pack it around the house, yard and garage today. I will fill it when I finish writing here.
I feel fuzzy headed right now as I did yesterday. It seems to be a morning thing, and seems to be slowly improving as in not quite as fuzzy or for as long. It's been a real gradual improvement. Ha...I say gradual but it's only been 7 days. We have such high expectations of ourselves. Last Sunday I got as drunk as I could because I knew I was going to stop the next day, Monday..here I am the next Sunday writing about how I'm feeling a bit fuzzy and the improvement seems so slow. Very funny.
All right so here I go. I read the paper, had some tea. Next up, options: shower or exercise and stretching or sweet potato muffins. I'd like to go get some flowers today for the window boxes, but I might wait until tomorrow. I have lots to do here at home without risking going to town. See how you feel. You could prep the window boxes today....you have potting soil. Let's go with a shower. Day 7, here we go.
