Day 69, morning
Today is day 69. I worked out a balance yesterday to accomplish work and exercise. I met my exercise goal by lifting. Today is an exercise of my choice. Today is also my Friday, so I am working and have plans to go to dinner and a play. Exercise will need to fall between end of work and going to dinner. You are over 50% to your goal of 30 days of exercise.
Stopped after work yesterday at a restaurant near my work. When I was in the first few weeks of quitting, I went to this restaurant for take out not remembering that you must wait right near the bar of liquor bottles. My attention that time was completely and wholly on the bottles. This time, too, I had forgotten I would need to wait there, but it wasn't the same. Yes, I did notice them and yes, they held my attention, but it wasn't the same. It was brief, not as intense and my attention went on to the sushi bar and the windows and the workers preparing the tables. Felt good.
Really trying to be watchful of feeling overconfident, trying to not put myself into situations where I may be challenged in ways I'm not ready for, though it seems over the last week I've accidently done it twice, but the outcomes were good. Just being thoughtful, being cautious. Writing a journal entry each day sometimes seems really tedious, but I have to say it's a really good way to focus myself each day and remind myself that I don't drink. Without that focus stated each day by me, I think not drinking would be less present in my daily thoughts and drinking, confidence in my ability to drink would be higher and I would take greater risks. A journal reminds me to play things tight. I also reread it at my lunchtime which again focuses me midday.
Today is day 69. I am committed to making a life change. I do not drink. I am the tree, not the leaves. I am the mountain. It is day 69 and I am solid.

I like reading your journals and they inspire me. You are doing so many things to live a balanced life, and are enjoying it too (well most of the time). Who knows one day your journal will be able to help someone else or make a book out of it, as you write very well.
Nice. I\'m glad they inspire you and yeah, I hope maybe they will inspire someone else, too. Your words are very kind. Thank you.
