Day 6- so so

Yesterday:  So so.  3 cups coffee with 1/ 2 & 1/2 and Splenda.  29 oz water.  Oatmeal with 1/2 cup 1% milk.  1 slice sausage pizza.  large bowl of watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe.  (I put 1 cup each into Fitday.)  2 glasses of decaf diet iced tea with ice.  Fat Free yogurt.  2 skinless chicken legs, baked.  baked beans.  Was doing great until I sat to watch tv and then minor binge-a-thon:  light ice cream bar, animal crackers, light microwave popcorn, 2 slices of bread.  It was like I got hooked on carbs.  Ugh!  1875 calories eaten.  (Could have been worse.)
Went to the Y yesterday:  37 minutes on treadmill, 2.44 miles, lower body weights, abs/core weights 25 mins, 5 min stretch.  I also went for another 30 min walk the dog, 2 miles.  2166 Calories burned.  13,314 steps for the day.
Not bad, but not the greatest.
Just an FYI-I quit smoking (again) on 6/23.  So this is double difficult for me this week.  There is a commercial on tv about quitting smoking.  This guy is sitting on a pier, saying "cigarette, cigarette, cigarette, cigarette...."  and a shark jumps out of the water and is chomping off his arm, and he continues to say "cigarette, cigarette, cigarette...."  Well, THAT is exactly how I feel.  I have to keep stopping myself from going out to the sunroom to smoke.  (I have no cigarettes here.)  I am chewing  piece of nicotine gum here and there.  But it is consuming and hard to focus on much of anything.
That said, not a bad week considering, with food and exercise.  But just wanted to let you guys know about my battles.
Going to my brother's tonight to finalize plans for the kitchen.
Yes, I did get to the Y again this AM!  Will update tomorrow.  3 miles today!  Woo Hoo!  Going to try to go to Zumba tomorrow.

Hey, there! Just caught up on your journals. Sounds like you are doing well. Congrats on your steps and trips to the Y....very inspiring! A HUGE congrats for quitting smoking! I know how hard that is! Sounds like you are on the right track again!

Lucky you ate so good during the day and that helped to keep your evening calories within reason...not good but it could have been worse.
Good for you for quitting the cigarettes...Good luck with that. Are using anything to help or going cold turkey with it?
