Day 6 of Taper

Today is day 6 of the taper. I'm still in pain, but not as much. I did see the doctor today and talked to him about the taper but somehow forgot to ask him about the pain being connected. I'm still getting dry-mouth pretty bad, but that's from the Congentin, I'm pretty sure, which I stopped yesterday. So far the mood swings haven't returned, and that's what I was worried about the most with the taper. I've been hallucinating a bit today, but it's nothing like the other day when I felt bugs all over me. I hope I don't have to re-start the Risperdal. The doctor suggested if my depression is bad (which it isn't anymore) that I should stay on a low dose of Celexa and Trazadone. I don't want to have to do that. I want to be clear of all my meds for a while before having to take them again. I'm not naïve, I know I'm going to have to be back on medication, but I want to see how I am without it first. I haven't been off meds for about 10 years now, so I want to know what's real and what was a side effect of the meds. The only way to know is to be off of them.
I'm tired again today. I didn't sleep well last night. I was up every couple of hours, and didn't get deep sleep in. I took a nap today, too, but I don't think that will interfere with tonight's sleep. I'm tired right now, if I could just go to sleep now and sleep through the night. I don't know if I could, though. If I went to sleep now I would just wake up in the middle of the night, my body thinking I'm trying to get it to nap and not lie down for the night. I will just wait until my regular bedtime if I can. I'm just feeling heavy, almost depressed. It's the pain, I'm pretty sure. I had to take a Vicodin earlier, and I might have to take one again to sleep. I needed it... I had to go grocery shopping and I couldn't take the pain. Luckily we had the truck today and I didn't have to take the bus. I don't know if I could have done it if I had taken the bus.
Mood today was good... Geo and I had a nice lunch at Wendy's and then went to see the doctor. Geo got his refills of his pills that he needed, and the doctor recommended if Geo still has mood swings to take some of my Risperdal. I have plenty of it, and if it helps he can go back and get some more from the doctor. I really like our doctor... he doesn't put you on any extra meds if you don't need them. I don't know how many other doctors would help me taper, either. And he saw me for free today since he knows I don't have the money to see him twice in a month. Next month I might have to change my appointment since right now I have it early in the month (April 3rd) and I just saw him today. I want to be well off the taper when I see him. At this speed, I should be off the taper by next week. I know I'm going a bit fast, but so far it's been smooth. My body can get rid of things easily, and I've only had trouble getting off a couple of medicines in my past.
Exercise today was bad... I just walked around the store and that was it. I didn't have the energy to do anything else. I was going to go the gym, but I lay down and fell asleep instead. Besides, I needed to rest my muscles so that I can have the energy to go to work tomorrow. I don't want to go in, but I know that they need me. If they don't need me, you can bet I'm going home to lie down. I should stop by the gym tomorrow and get my arms worked out if I can. The gym is on my way home from work, and it only takes me a couple minutes until my arms are exhausted from the machine. I don't want to work out my legs since it's my hips that are hurting me the most. My back as well, but my hips the most. I've been on the heating pad almost the entire day. I didn't nap on it, since you aren't supposed to, but other than that I've been on the heating pad. It helps a bit.
Food today was okay... I went to Wendy's and had a hamburger and a chili. I was actually under my calories today, though. I didn't eat breakfast since I slept until noon, and ate lunch around 2. I had a pork chop and some garlic shells for dinner. I'm just not hungry today. I think that has to do with the pain as well. I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 219.5 now, so I'm out of the 220's! Yay! I just need to keep out of there. I'm surprised at how much weight I've lost- over 30 pounds now- in less than a year. And so far it's been the right way- no starving myself, binge eating and purging. I've lost weight in the past, but this time I'm going to do it the non-ED way and make it stick. I still struggle with ED thoughts, but I don't let them take over me.

I\'m glad you guys have such an awesome doctor. Those are hard to find. Good that things are going smooth and i used to think just like you about naps but it\'s not true for me. Wether I can sleep at night or not has nothing to do with taking a nap. So go ahead and get some rest when you can.
Congrats on losing your weight in the healthy way. You are a champ.

Yes you are blessed to have a caring doctor. As you call him - The Good Doctor!
Great effort on the weight loss. Hopefully you will past the pain and back to exercises. For now maybe some stretches.
