Day 5 Again
Day five again for the fourth or fifth try Alcoholism sucks big time. But on a good note although I may get anxious sometimes I am able to keep my self from going into full blow panic and the anxiety is gone before I know it, I thank GOD that he has made me strong enough to do that....... on another note the other night I drank some sleepy time extra tea to help me sleep just as I doze off I awaken to my heart racing feeling like it would pound out of my chest, I was SCARED i did some deep breathing and tried to calm down I had to pee realy bad so i went to the bathroom as i sat down it started racing and pounding again then I noticed that my left arm was limp as if asleep (it could have been from the way I was lying on it though) anyway I was petrified I was just Praying to GOD and asking him to help me after what seem like an eternity but I sure couldn't have bee more than 2 -3 minutes it started to subside and then I got sick to my stomach needless to say I was scared to go back to sleep so i sat up in my recline chair for the rest of the night occasionally dosing off, most of the next day was filled with heart palpitations the doctors made an apt for me in the afternoon and of course when I get there all vitals are normal smh any who they still referred me to see a cardiologist and took some blood for test, when I got home I did some research on sleepy time ingredients and for some reason Valerian root stuck out to me so I researched that. long story short my experience is noted as possible side affects from this herb today I'm starting to feel better I'm still going to see the cardiologist but I think it happened because of the tea.

That was a scary moment and glad it passed! Hope it was just a reaction to an herb in the tea blend. Sounds like you have a strong faith in God. If you have trouble kicking the habit on your own, you might consider AA if you haven\'t already tried it. It took me a while to find the right group, and I really like the one I have now. I\'m a Buddhist and some of the meetings I went to initially were so fundamental in Christian belief that I didn\'t feel comfortable. But if you\'re a believer, I think you could really benefit, if you can find the time, etc. Just an idea, since you mentioned this was your fourth or fifth try.
Either case, I\'m a good listener (reader) if you ever want to chat.
Wishing you success this time around!
